India Introduces the New $35 Computer

--In an effort to provide computers to students and teachers at an affordable price, India has introduced a prototype for a $35 computer, The country's human resources development manager unveiled this device in New Delhi on Thursday.
The ability to be connected for all students is imperative to reaching educational goals. It has even been predicted that with the introduction of this new prototype that the price of being connected for students could fall as low as $10 in the near future.
India's current literacy rate stands at 65%, but advocates of this new low cost computer hope to improve upon that by introducing more of its population to the digital world.
Recently, India auctioned off its airwaves for third-generation services to enable super-fast multimedia streaming of wireless. This move should bring India's online service to equal the already booming cell phone market.
