The all new Microsoft Windows 7 – the first impression

Windows-7I bought my copy of Windows 7 yesterday after going through all the reviews about it online. This one has the same hardware requirements of Vista and being a Vista user it was quite easy to switch over to the new OS. It took hardly about 20 min to complete installation of Windows 7. Now that was really quick and unexpected. The most appealing thing about Windows 7 is its amazing responsiveness and the eye candy. Microsoft has come up with a whole range of user interface effects and styles. The one thing you can clearly notice at first glance is the new taskbar. The taskbar comes with an Aero Peek effect which shows you the outlines of windows when you move your mouse pointer over the icons in the task bar. Instead of rectangular buttons in the taskbar you have icons of the applications in the task bar. Windows + P helps switching between multiple windows with impressive transition effects. The Windows Media Center in Windows 7 is really awesome and a lot better than how it used to be in Vista. The Windows Media Player has been loaded with an almost comprehensive codec package for supporting different media types. There was not any compatibility issue and all my devices which worked with Vista worked perfectly well with Windows 7. Overall it is a significant improvement over Vista and is sure to take over the market from its predecessor.

The new Apple MacBook

MACBOOKApple has finally revealed its new MacBook. The new MacBook has undergone major hardware upgrades. The processor has been upgraded from 2.13GHz to 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. Though this is only a minor increase, it can bring about a significant increase in processing speed. The hard disk capacity has been increased from 160GB to 250GB and the RAM has undergone a minor upgrade from a 2GB DDR2 to a DDR3 of the same capacity . It also has a powerful NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphic card for a rich multimedia experience. Other notable changes include a glass touchpad, a new anti-skid rubber bottom and the all new LED backlight and a lightweight polycarbonate body. The 13.3-inch widescreen with the LED backlight provides an awesome viewing experience and is quite suitable for watching movies. The MacBook comes loaded with the Mac OS X Snow Leopard operating system which is the latest and the most advanced operating system developed by Apple. The most amazing feature about this new MacBook is that it comes with a seven hour battery which has been adopted from the MacBook Pro. Priced at 999 US dollars it is certainly worth the cost for all the new features and the hardware upgrades.
