Sony HDR-CX500V and HDR520V Handy camcorders
HDR-CX500V and HDR520V are two series of Sony’s handy camcorders that are capable of recording very high resolution videos as 1920×1080 and also has the capacity to store upto 25 hours of such high definition videos in landscape mode. Sony’s HDR-CX500V and HDR520V can have a capacity of 32 GB or 64 GB internal flash memory drive and are capable of taking 12 MP pictures. As in any other handy cams this can also take pictures and record videos but this works well since it is designed for HD pictures and videos and provides huge storage space. The Director of camcorder for Sony Electronic believes that these product models combines the best of digital imaging technology to provide quality camcorders with HD videos. HDR-CX500V and HDR520V models are provided with the optical steady shot features that works by correcting horizontal or vertical handshakes by optical image stabilization and it is also provided with electronic image stabilization to lateral roll shakes. Advanced algorithms are used for removing blurring and shake correction. Sony’s BIONZ image processor is attached in it so that Face Touch feature is activated and using this feature the camcorder prioritizes a person. It also includes other features such as smile shutter technology, EXMOR CMOS sensors that are to take very clear image in low light situations, built in GPS antenna, USB cable to transfer content to a DVD, can provide 5.1 Dolby Digital audio, etc. HDR-CX500V and HDR520V may costs around 1100$ and 1300$ respectively.

LG will be introducing SL 80 and SL 90 HDTV’s in USA very shortly.
